Cancer Support Group
A person’s life changes in an instant after hearing those three words,
“You have cancer”.
This new life that you have been thrust into is scary, confusing, and overwhelming. Your world is suddenly filled with information and medical terms that you are not familiar with. After you diagnosis you may feel sad, worried, confused, and possibly angry. Along with these emotions there may be physical changes and financial issues that you need to learn how to manage. Cancer changes everything.
Cancer is overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone. The Second Reformed Cancer Care Group is designed to come along side those diagnosed with cancer, and their family members in order to support them spiritually and emotionally. This group is comprised of individuals who have battled cancer personally in their own lives.
Connecting with others who have been on this journey before may help you cope. Part of living with cancer is equipping yourself with the tools that will help you cope with this experience. The Second Reformed Cancer Care Group will also provide resources that can help you start the journey of educating yourself about your illness.
